As a parent, I cannot recommend Adab Academy highly enough. My daughter attended both Formal and Material Logic and Seminar in Ethics, Tasawwuf, Political Philosophy, Politics, and History.
These courses have challenged my daughter, and enhanced her ability to think critically, articulate clearly, and engage with complex texts. The combination of logical analysis and philosophical inquiry has not only enriched her intellect but also nurtured a sense of ethical responsibility and self-awareness. If you want your child to develop the skills to reason, debate, and understand the world with depth and confidence, these seminars are an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

As a novice, unsure homeschooling mom starting out a few years ago, my family and I were incredibly blessed to come across Ayesha and John. To say they are tutors or teachers for my kids does not encompass all that they have done through the years for and with them.
My eldest first began working with Ayesha at 7/8 years old when we wondered if there was some way a young, non-native child could be taught Arabic in the US. Ayesha decided it would be best to curate a curriculum catering to her needs, incorporating vocabulary and grammar in an engaging way and utilizing her love for stories to teach her. In fact, the true realization of what an incredible job she had done was when my now 15 year old, in a full time Arabic school, returned to the grammar concepts and teachings Ayesha had relayed years ago, noting “I don’t know how I could have gotten through this if Ayesha hadn’t taught it to me!” So effective were her methods, that she pleaded with her to spare some time for a review before exams. Her sisters quickly lined up behind her and within a class or two were able to clarify things so well, they aced their exams!
Ayesha is one of the most sincere, caring, devoted and intelligent teachers my girls have come across. Not only is she phenomenal at what she does, she is a wonderful role model that I am so pleased my girls look up to.
Now that my oldest is 15, she likes to say she has known John for more than half her life. She refers to him as her mentor and likes to seek out his opinion on all matters of her education. Meanwhile, we like to recruit him for the extra nudge or convincing she needs for the next challenge awaiting her (luckily, we’re on the same page!) One of the very commendable things about John is his ability to connect with his students. All three of my children could not be more different but he not only was able to understand their quirks, but diligently worked alongside them allowing them to thrive and develop confidence. The best example of this is my middle child who had not responded to any teacher prior to starting with John. I still remember expecting her to walk out of his class too, and was so surprised to hear her giggling within a few minutes of her first session and going on to complete it. But he is by no means lax- once he has their confidence, he begins challenging them, encouraging them to think harder, do better; all the while in a gentle, calm manner with plenty of laughs.
It was such a difficult task to write this review for me as I feel limited words on paper could not do justice to the depth of our gratitude for this husband-wife team. I have never hesitated discussing our concerns and visions for our children with them because we have truly felt they share in the sincere desire to see them succeed. They have been so accommodating in working with the kids to help them strive for excellence. To say that our kids look up to them is an understatement- they adore them, are honored to be their students and consider it a responsibility to make them proud. Ayesha and John have not only been some of the best teachers my kids have had, but mentors, advisers, coaches and most importantly modern day Muslim role models they can aspire to.
