We provide tutoring for parents interested in having Adab Academy tutors work with their children one-on-one. This is a good option for students that need to “catch-up” in their learning or for elementary and middle school aged children. A private tutor allows a student to begin studying the liberal arts at a younger age, and it can greatly enhance their reading, writing, and speaking skills. Under the tutelage of an experienced instructor, students will receive the individual help required to excel.
Our tutors will work with a small group of peers on a didactic course or in a seminar. These may be courses that we normally offer or others such as Islamic studies subjects. A group can also be organized to read a single text with a qualified instructor. Parents are responsible for finding a minimum of three students that would be interested in the group tutoring service. We have a maximum capacity of eight students for courses. If parents would like more than eight students to join the group, please reach out to us.
We can help create an individualized study plan for your child based on his or her educational background, skills, and interests. This is a good option for parents who are homeschooling and would like some assistance developing a curriculum from K-12, for students enrolled in other schools but requiring supplementary and fulfilling learning, or for adults and autodidacts that would like a guide to educate themselves. You can expect an initial meeting to discuss the students’ background (strengths, weaknesses, interests, etc.), followed by an interview with the student, multiple assessments of their skills, and a final proposal.
Does your mosque board want to read Plato’s Republic together? Are you a group of Islamic studies teachers that would like to read Aristotle’s Ethics and compare it to al-Ghazālī’s? Or a group of parents that want to read what your children are reading with us? While we are mostly aimed at working with and teaching high school students, we love great books and introducing enthusiastic learners to the life of the mind. Consider reaching out to set up a course on a book(s), theme, or topic of your choice.
Jealous of your child’s education? Our instructors can take any high school course and teach it to adults at a more advanced level. We can also create custom courses based on interests. These classes are only provided upon serious request with at least five adults being committed to the class.
Adab Academy provides consulting services to individuals, groups, schools, institutions, and companies who are interested in pursuing the liberal arts, Islamic studies, and reading great books.
We provide professional consulting to educators looking to incorporate the liberal arts, Islamic studies, and great books into their schools and institutions. This could be crafting syllabi, adding individual classes to an already existing curriculum, or developing a curriculum from the ground up. It could also incorporate philosophic counseling to identify the main principles and aims of your institution.
Whether you are a teacher aiming to improve your teaching methods, a parent homeschooling your child, or a school looking for professional development, we offer advice and training on incorporating the liberal arts and great books into your teaching methods and educational program.
You may have activities and consulting needs that we have not listed above. Please reach out to us with your inquiries, and we will happily inform you if your request fits into our skillset.
Please email [email protected] regarding your specific needs.
I highly recommend Adab Academy. Their courses in logic, ethics, Tasawwuf, and philosophy have challenged my daughter, enhancing her critical thinking, articulation, and engagement with complex texts. This blend of analysis and inquiry fosters intellect, ethical responsibility, and confidence—an invaluable opportunity for any child.

Ayesha and John are exceptional educators and mentors who have profoundly impacted my children’s lives. Ayesha’s tailored, engaging Arabic lessons built a strong foundation, while John’s ability to connect, challenge, and inspire brought out their best. They’re not just teachers but sincere, caring role models my kids deeply admire.
